Call for papers for C.P.E. Bach in Brussels Symposium

The Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (Royal Conservatory Brussels), a School of Arts of the Erasmus University College, will hold a symposium on artistic research of the music of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach from November 20 to 22, 2014. This colloquium will also honor the retirement of faculty member dr. Barthold Kuijken.

Candidates can submit proposals for a 30 minute presentation on subjects relating to performance based research about the music of C.P.E. Bach. Proposals of maximum 250 words must be submitted in either Dutch, English, French or German by Friday 30 May 2014. All proposals will be subject to a selection process by the Program Committee of the Symposium. Submission of a proposal does not guarantee that the paper will be accepted for presentation. There is no financial support for the speakers. If a proposal is accepted, the presenter will be expected to participate at the Colloquium. Papers may be presented in Dutch or English.

Candidates will be informed of the jury’s decision by Friday 11 July 2014. Candidates need to complete the proposal form and send it electronically to Richard Sutcliffe of the Organizing Committee of the C. P. E. Bach in Brussels Symposium.
